95 teams of three hit the start line of a sold-out SALOMON RAID THE HAMMER this year! Thank you to all for making it a big success.
Most checkpoints will have a electronic punch unit, a so called SportIdent unit, or SI unit. Teams will punch by putting their SI card through the SI unit. The SI unit will make both a visual (red blink) and audio (beep) confirmation that the team's SI card have been registered. Teams that lose their SI card will not receive a finish time, and will need to pay $35 for a replacement. More information about the electronic punching will be e-mailed to the team captains closer to race day.
A few checkpoints will be marked with a slightly smaller flag. At this checkpoints, teams must use the punches and punch their map in the appropriate box. Only one map needs to be punched. If you choose to punch only one map - make sure you don't lose it...
Five sessions will be held this fall using the same format as in the spring. The first location is Ancaster Community Centre on September 10th. For all locations and more information - click here.
