Thomass #1

Just like the past few years, the Gators hosted the first Thomass event for the season.

Lazlo and Doug had put together an interesting course and the runners got to see some of the nicest terrain in the Starkey Hills area. New for the year was that first time Thomass series and first time Thomass event runners got extra handicap - one control extra could be dropped.

And it was a newcomer who punched the finish unit first, Martin Bjurner from TOC. He moved to Toronto from Sweden with his family this fall and immediately showed the locals how to do it. Th reeGHOers lined upp after him, all within seconds. 2. Mark Adams, 3. Andrei Logvin, 4. Hans Fransson. Other male GHOers: 12. Tim Grant, 13. Glenn Birnie, 15. Ian Sidders, 20. Jim Waddington, 40. Conor Gallagher.

,Elisabeta Orosz was first female back and GHO's Barb Campbell was second among the women and 16th overall. Elena Logvina was 4rd female and 18th overall. Liza Pye, who visited all the controls in the Thomass box (just like 2nd placed Leanne Muller from CN), was 5th female and 23rd overall.

Complete results and feedback.
