Orienteering At Bronte Creek

The new inter-club training program started with a training on the Ancaster Creek map in Hamilton and there is now a new opportunity to practice your orienteering skills. This time in the Burlington/Oakville area and the Bronte Creek map where Mike Waddington has set up some great exercises that will practice some specific orienteering techniques.

Just like last time, e-mail me if you are interested in this training - hans dot fransson at cogeco dot ca

This training is free for all members of an Ontario orienteering club.

If you or your club is willing to host an "open" training, feel free to contact me.

Thanks Hans and Mike for setting this course up,
Trudy and I were out on this training map this afternoon. We used snowshoes to get practice for the Snow Raid at Horseshoe Valley but there was not really enough snow. Going through the rough open terrain was easier though. Excellent training for learning to navigate by map vegetation changes. All the ribbons are in place. I added 2 that were not there. The green X's are rootstocks on the second navigation.

Regards,

Ian
